2) You could hear a helicopter throughout the beginning of the vid.
3) Did she LOSE her room key or did it get lifted? Even if she did, who may have found it? And if someone has it, are they more likely to snoop while she's gone or come in and grab her at night?
4) It's good to see Bree and Daniel being cute together again. When they were chowing down and playing around, I got a little smiley and misty.
5) Looked like Bree was reading her parents' letter at the end. The letter we still don't know the contents of. I have a feeling what that letter says is really important.

All in all, I'm excited! And I hate to disagree with so many, but I like Jonas. Daniel filmed Bree's butt, that was cute (the fact that he filmed it--i'm sure bree knows she has a cute butt)
Good going, Bree, with loosing your key. Also, its very intelligent for her---being chased by culty men in suits---to leave the hotel without the protection of Daniel. Bravo
And, the OpAphid thing is cool too. I'm not sure of the actual plot benefits, but the videos are awesome. I spent alot of time (yes, I am a dork) reversing them to listen to her message at the end...my favorite (paraphrased, i think): "Thinking evil of another is a sin, but it is seldom wrong"
And, for the record, i also like Gemma.

gemma is gorgeous. people are generally not a fan of her character, because she doesn't seem to add much to the plot, but she is nice to look at.

jonas is gorgeous. he hasn't added much so far, and what he has added seems to be ...lame and suspiciously easy to write off as bad lying.

maybe by including a hot male figure to compliment the equally hot female character they are trying to cut back on some of the complaining. maybe they're betting half of us that aren't attracted to gemma might be attracted to jonas and it would be hypocrisy to rag on her character if they approve of his.

I lived in a navy town with the occasional search and rescue helicopter whizzing overhead, but it wasn't all that common to see them over the city. I've been trying to tell everyone that I don't know. That's the truth. I don't know why I was picked or why I'm "special." I thought I knew a lot about my religion, but now it seems like I know only parts. I understand the belief system or at least I thought I did. Bones, I had my Canadian buddy over for Thanksgiving dinner yesterday.  Even if you don't celebrate it, the food is delicious (especially if my mom cooks). I think we're going to have to just ignore the racist if they can't block him from posting.  His rude comments have been going on for a long time.  That kind of comment is why I don't like the ABC message boards. They had too many horrible things to say about Mario and Emmett in the "Dancing with the Stars" finale.  Thankfully, most of the commenters here are friendly and have something useful to say.

That's just not okay.

As for jumping the shark, nope, imho that hasn't happened yet.  The Jonas character is entering the series as just another viewer.  That makes this different than anything we've ever seen on television, so it's worth seeing where that goes. 

The only thing that could jump the shark, for me, would be a cross into the supernatural.  I'm a huge sci-fi/fantasy fan, in fact I rarely watch anything that's not sci-fi or fantasy, but genre hopping this late in the game would not be cool.  The laws of a given universe need to be presented quickly, with an immediate establishment of any deviation from the laws of physics as we know them, for a sci-fi or fantasy to work.

I hope you're wrong also.  It's hard enough to tell this type of story with just Bree and Daniel.  When they brought Gemma in, I wasn't happy.  I like the actress (don't know her name) but the character and the writing sucks.  I tried watching one of the Jonas videos, but I gave up after a minutes.  It's just seems like filler to me and not part of the real story.

What I really hope isn't the case, is that people are posting videos and contacting the creators asking to be part of the story.  This would really suck.  I have had a lot of ideas for videos about LG15, I've even written some of it down.  But I'm not a professional writer/film maker.  I'm not going to start making videos and then asking to be part of the story.  The chances that other people would fine what I make as entertaining as I do are slim.  If I was any good at it, I'd be doing it for a living.  I know the creators mentioned how they wanted this to be interactive.  And that's fine to a point, but too much interaction is a bad thing.  In my opinion.  

Then again, It's late and there is a very good chance I don't know what I'm talking about.

I completely agree with you...after reading the Wired article, I'm very apprehensive about the separate writer/ director 'teams' being brought in.  You just can't control the quality and the flow of the storyline when too many separate people are involved.

I also agree that I hope the creators aren't incorporating random people who write in and beg to be a part of the series.  I think they need to keep it professional and control the casting and concept themselves. yah...just wondering if they wanted to mess with it during editing. sometimes when you filter out a noise it makes the rest of the audio not as clear or it gives that sound like your talking into a tin can. so it might be better to just leave it and the plane is just part of the surroundings. I think everyone is reading too much into the Jonas thing.  I'm excited about another character, but I don't anticipate he'll play a major role.  In fact, I hope that the speculations of Bree and Daniel staying at his house are completely bogus... because I swear if this "on the run" thing gets drawn out any more its going downhill.  They've been doing absolutely nothing to find her parents or find out more about the Order... and quite frankly its incredibly boring.  They can't do this forever, can they? 

I loved this video- it was charming and cute... I love Gemma, she's intelligent and quick-witted... and I am starting to like Jonas because he's heartfelt and fun. If Jonas is canon, we may end up being surprised with his contribution. Besides, if his parents went "missing," who's to say that he actually really knows what happened to them? His dad seemed to think he knew what he was doing. What if they ticked off the Order, too, went sailing one day, and were never heard from again? Years of television watching has trained us to be suspicious of imported love interests and the like. i was watching people filming lg15 in the woods for the new episode. it was really wet and rainy. tehy were posting 2-minutes videos every 5 minutes. brees parents showed up and told her that she had to get pregnant and name her baby aleister. bree got really upset, but she couldnt defend herself because she was surrounded by these toothless woodland hikers who were eating turkey jerky from a nearby 7-11. daniel and bree ran away  in a schoolbus and moved back into brees house. the parents found them (duh) and started threatening bree. it was bizaare.

They've left stuff for lots of people to find all over the place.  They've also made it clear that there are certain "non-canon" users they keep an eye on- (there was a list of youtube accounts found at one of the drop sites).  ORanges and abbreviations don't convince me - I'd be convinced if they ever referenced something specific that wasn't canon, which they haven't.

I've read most of the creators interviews and I can't remember seeing one where they mention keeping an eye on certain 'non-canon' users. Nor do I remember any drops involving this particular storyline. Anne, could you be more specific? Or maybe provide a link to where you read this?
There's also a few things on my mind that keep me from thinking that the Creators are super genius and have figured out and filmed an ultra-layered plotline (while placing clues in and around areas where rain and vandals do exist.) in the space of a few days.
One of them being that it's much easier to do short clips once or twice a day (and cheaper) than it is to film all at once...and it's much easier to write them.
Others include Daniel's hair and Bree's weight, magazine covers etc...
While the visual certainties are there, so are the logical certainties.
This is a mystery. The actors are under a non-disclosure contract. The less they know about the plot at this point the better. Filming too far in advance increases the chances of spoilers being leaked.
Y'know...even major television series (such as 24) don't film the entire series in advance.

And as per the advice of their lawyer, if "Bree" was asked about if she was real, she was not to answer. 

The actors don't interact as much, but they don't make up the story. The writer does. (Sounds kinda obvious, but apparently that needed to be said.) And the paypal was by the suggestion of posters, who heard the Creators were low on money recently. It's strictly voluntary and not necessary to view the video. It's not a glorified choose your own adventure. 

The site is moderated by volunteer fans, last I check, and the Creators post to both the site and the forum. Just because they don't create the web pages and moderate all the comments doesn't mean they have nothing to do with the web site.

Incidentally, ever heard of "The Blair Witch Project"? Entire movies have been filmed before with a rough idea of what the director wanted from each scene and a lot of improvisation from the actors. In this case, that's supplemented where appropriate with fan input.

It's so easy to speculate about what the writers are doing at the moment.  However, the facts are out.  

It's remarkable how a web site can connect like minds from all over the world in a space that provides a free outlet for humor and opinions.  It's disappointing that some see it as a chance to put others down for those very same opinions.  Commenting on someone's age, how many times they post, or when they started watching is a futile effort in subjectivity.

i don't feel threatened with new characters; in any form of theater/movie based anything i'm most interested in character-driven plots (one of the reasons i'm also addicted to Lost). i think both of our new characters have potential, and have even posted ideas of where they may lead (of course, just tyhe workings of my mind... doesn't mean i expect them to turn out that way. i was just postulating). the reason i generally don't like the two newer characters yet is they haven't proved themselves. Gemma recaps fan conversations and threads, or gives snippets of backstory (mind you, i like backstory) but she generally doesn't seem to foreward the plot much. i think the character could be a great device, and give an alternate viewpoint from the promarily bree viewpoint we've been getting. but she doesn't seem to have direction yet. With jonas, who is gemma's male counterpart in pretty, i also see a lot of potential. his involvement might be a response to the cries of "just how much money do bree and daniel HAVE?!" by having them crash at his place. he also might be extra motivation to go look for bree's parents or fight back. he might be a trap. the problem i have with HIS character is the writing is downright bad. the last vid he made was full of obvious fallacies and seemingly intentional emotional manipulation. whether that was done on purpose, and we were intentionally meant to see through what he told us... that remains to be seen and hopefully will be worked in later. if it was unintentional i just want them to step up their own writer's research before offering vids like that. so far he has not offered much plot development either.

in recap, i like the idea of new characters. it will help develop the story. they just need to start using those characters effectively and convincingly.

You forgot some things.

A car chase. The primary cars in the chase must defy the laws of physics and never have the tires blow out.  All other cars should be driven by inept drivers who find it necessary to get in the way of the chase and then miraculously swerve out of the way.

A wise old guy who knows everything and wants to help Bree and Daniel.  But instead of telling them everything he knows, he just gives them small bits of useless information and then tells them to figure out the rest.

The FBI and Police get involved.  The FBI agents think the cops are a bunch of dumb flatfoots.  The cops think the FBI agents are a bunch of pencil pushing bureaucrats, they are both useless.  Except for one cop or agent (doesn't matter which) who breaks all the rules and will help Daniel and Bree.  This will either get him killed, suspended or fired.  Most likely fired, because he punched his idiot boss for not listening to him. They find they are able to merge into a single entity, known as "Plush-O-Tron", bearing their combined skills of the bear (strength), the turtle (impervious defenses) and the monkey (agility).

Very sweet that they made up. Very nice to watch. Bree expresses to the camera why she behaves the way she does. Perhaps this is her speaking to Daniel and trying to help him understand. Daniel has a lot of empathy for her feelings, consistently. I have never heard Bree express empathy for Daniel, however. Still, she made amends in the only way she knew how. It was cute and Daniel accepted it.

I don't care whether Jonas is "canon" or not. He just appeared pretentious in the videos I watched. If this ends up being a teenie bopper "Backstreet Boys" style series with good looking orphan children who live like Pippi Longstocking.. uh.. hmmm.. what a test.. will I hang in here with this?

I'm glad Jonas had a positive effect on Bree. I was in Virginia, riding in a car past lots of 7-11's. I live in NC, but I don't think this state is devoid of them. I did NOT slop and slurp, as my alter-ego, OrangeSlurpee, would like to do. 

Bree DID think of Daniel and how he likes hiking. That was very nice. I just don't know how he puts up with her maturity level being so stunted most of the time. He's almost "saint-like" in that regard. Or stupid. The more I watch, the more I come to the conclusion that Bree is disturbed.. and she could just be sucking Daniel and everyone else into her psychosis.

Bree and Daniel have swapped bodies! To do this they had to go in a body-swap-adop-ilous-radiation machine, created by the evil Dr. o.  Slurpee. Unfortunately whilst they were in there Thor, Owen and P.monkey drank some of the evil Dr's mixture, a little something he calls ... orange slurpee. This made the animals eyes glow orange and became zombies of the slurpee, required to do the bidding of the evil Dr. O. Slurpee. 

When Bree and Daniel's transformation was complete and they got out of the body-swap-adop-ilous-radiation machine, they discovered that one of Bree's eyebrows had attached itself to Daniel's chin, so they had to hide out until a goatee had grown to cover it, this eyebrow is the only way that the evil ones will be able to tel who the real Bree is, so they can never shave it off!

It wasn't long after this, that the evil Dr. O. Slurpee discovered that the money Bree and Daniel had paid him with was monopoly money, so he sent the Watchers after them. They ussually don't live very long and while all parasites live off a host, with no host available they die. 
They need a constant supply of hosts to not become extint.
Evolution requires parasites to weed the weak from the heard.
If a host can't sustain a few parasites in the wild then Darwin needs to do his thing and  force evolution or get them out of the gene pool.

I must say I am very relieved that We are obviously very careful in Canada about what we let accross the border.

It's also winter so no aphids(unless they are domesticated and living in house plants).

Everyone is wondering what they were looking for.

What if Bree's mom put something else (besides the money, and a note) inside P. Monkey. In the video fleeing the watcher, Bree was looking for something and Daniel told her to look under the bed.  It seemed important enough to get even though they were afraid and rushing.  In this video Bree is looking at something when she got upset and was sitting on the rock.  Maybe Bree's mom gave her something that she can use against the Order, and they want it back.  The only reason Bree hasn't done anything with it yet is because she is not sure what to do.

The reason why itâ€™s LG15 is because the creators actually had 14 girls before Jessica.  Hereâ€™s what happened to the first 14.

LonelyGirl: Was drinking an Orange Slurpee before filming the first scene.  Some of the Slurpee spilled on the floor.  In the middle of filming she slips on the Slurpee and breaks her neck.

 LonelyGirl2:  The creators get into an argument about whether it should be LG1 or LG2.  Miles thinks it should be LG2, because itâ€™s the second one.  Mesh thinks it should be LG1 because this is the first one with a number, and 1 comes before 2.  Greg thinks they should use LG101206.  There is a lot of shouting and screaming, and then the pushing starts.  The camera gets knocked on the ground and we only see the current LG fall and break her neck.  No one knows who pushed her.

LonelyGirl3:  After settling their argument about how to number LonleyGirl, Miles wins in a three-way competition of squirrels, nut, man.  The current girl leaves because she doesnâ€™t want to work for a bunch of guys who make decisions based on squirrels, nut, man.

LonelyGirl4: Dies when the boom mic falls on her head and breaks her neck. 

LonelyGirl5:  Leaves in the middle of filming when she gets a call from her agent about an audition for a movie starring opposite Brad Pitt.

LonelyGirl6:  Dies when she spills an Orange Slurpee on the keyboard and electrocutes herself.  The Creators no longer allow Orange Slurpees on the set.

LonelyGirl7:  The creators decide to film outside.  This was a mistake; LG7 gets hit by a car, the driver was drinking.  He was drinking an Orange Slurpee.

LonelyGirl8:  They still try to film outside.  They film a scene on a mountain trail.  LG8 is not too bright and could not concentrate on keeping eye contact with the camera and watching where she is going.  She walks off the trail, falls down a cliff and breaks her neck.

LonelyGirl9:  They go back indoors.  LG9 dies when she lights the candles next to Aleister Crowley, knocks over one of the candle, starts a fire and gets killed when Mile, Mesh, and Greg run out of the room and close and lock the door behind them.  They explain to the fire department that they closed the door to keep the fire from spreading and forgot about the girl inside.  They had no explanation for locking the door.

LonelyGirl10:  They go back to filming outside while the room is being repainted.  LG10 gets struck by lightning during filming.  The creators stop filming until the room is repainted.

LonelyGirl11:  The creators discover that LG11 used to do porn.  They donâ€™t want to associate this with porn so they fire her.  Miles was against this but conceded since he won the argument over the numbering.

LonelyGirl12:  This incident is still under litigation and all partied have been put under a gag order by the presiding judge.

LonelyGirl13:  Skipped this number.  The Creators are superstitious.

I came up with this idea a while ago.  It was one of my ideas for a video I would like to make.  But it would be impossible to actually make it.  When I saw some posts about why it's called LG15 when Bree is suppose to be 16 or 17 years old, I decided to write my idea down.  Came up with the details while I was writing it, took about 30 minutes.

Very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. You are correct,
Daniel get's no alien chicks(to bad Gemma), he just has to try and mask his emotions so as not to let his human side out.

He could be Bones as well though I think(sorry I am not a real trecky I just make fun of the ones on TV).

He could actually be a blend of the two.
He is:
A)moody like the Doctor
B)hiding his true emotions like Spock.

That would make him Doctor Spock and we all know he was a very influential Phsycologist in the fifties who messed with parents heads and made them mess with their kid's heads in turn.

Following this logical progression Daniel should be leaving the series soon to go back to school and finish his studies.

Wow, I got spoiled having videos almost everyday. I wonder if the creators waiting for the ARGer's to figure out the drop contents before they release another video...

I'm betting that Bree and Daniel end up staying with Jonah's for safety and either one of two things happen:
1. They create a typical TV/Movie love triangle between the three characters.

or

2. They "replace" Daniel with Jonah's and Daniel exits the show (because though the creators and Nikki Bowers said he wasn't going anywhere and that the following videos would prove that, doesn't mean that now that we've had a few weeks of videos his time is not up). Jonah's becomes Bree's "guardian" like Daniel has been.  

I hope that I'm wrong about number two. I think as actors, Bree and Daniel have a good onscreen chemistry that is hard to find nowadays with all the TV/Movie emphasis on "big names". One thing I DON'T understand is why people come here and they ask questions BEFORE trying to look up the answers first. You see, I would be embarrassed to do that. Most people aren't apparently.

Still, I don't think anyone should feel stupid to ask a question. I'm also the sort of person who has a really different perspective on social networks than most people do. If I start to see people herding and scrambling for status, etc., I balk. Typically, I'm not a joiner. When I am a joiner, I'm never a "belonger." I'm skeptical of any group.

I've watched several of the "drop" videos by OpAphid. What interests me is something Temple Grandin, PhD, wrote about in her book, Animals in Translation.

She writes about the pleasure/play circuit of the brain. Mammals are wired to enjoy searching and hunting. The predator instinct has nothing to do with anger or rage. It's all pure enjoyment. When a lion kills an antelope, it is really for the fun of it all. The chase is more satisfying than the end: food. That is why your domestic cat still hunts rats and often doesn't bother to eat them.

Anyway, that's the secret behind LG-15.. We like to search. The Aphids are really into intense clues and games to unravel. Even the question, "Who is Canon?" gets us started. 

I find that this process has felt more overwhelming since OpAphid was added as a part of the directory as an official spin-off of sorts. They were posting in the forum about how newcomers or new people can't really get their videos, because the decoding is so advanced. So, they want to appeal more to newcomers.

Who knows about NikiBower? Gemma? I read on unforums that Gemma started out just making videos in response to Bree and finally they added her to their team. People were excited about it. Maybe Jonas is doing or trying to do the same thing. They have him listed as both a character AND a spin-off--last time I checked.

Maybe it is just a matter of time before acceptance occurs for new characters.

I would argue that "40" is a very arbitrary number--it's just interesting to look at because it includes Jonas.  Because the first batch of registrations includes basically all officially affiliated people in the LG15 world, my hunch is that the Admins let them know when the registration would begin so they could get first cut.

That's not to say that there won't be more characters.  And I certainly don't think that they are in a specific order that would tell us anything.  But the fact that nikkibowerreport wasn't tipped off makes it seem that her videos are fanfiction.  Not that there's anything wrong with that--I really like her videos.
