Her parents are as good as dead, yet she just smiles and says her life is boring.

2) OpAphid. Are you kidding me? Those ridiculous videos are canon? That makes me lose a lot of faith for where this is headed. And I mean a lot.

according to wikipedia  "Porcupines are rodents best known for their coat of sharp spines, or quills, that defend them from predators." soo we should be looking for the placement of P. Monkey in the coming videos. If a watcher shows up, look for where P.Monkey is. "All animals avoid porcupines EXCEPT those with rabies". "Rabies (Latin, rabies, "madness, rage, fury")" It goes on to talk about many things, but one thing i found interesting was that one symptom can be "hydrophobia" where rabid animals freak out in a panic when near liquids (a.k.a why the animals didnt want to go in the pool)

Okay, I get that all of a sudden LG is some sort of an RPG or something along those lines.  I actually don't mind it as much, I think it might be fun.  However, give me a break... I don't understand how to access the stupid things.  If you're going to turn it into that don't make it so hard to participate! Ok, here are my thoughts in the order they occur to me:

1) I'm thirtsy and I don't want to get up and get a drink. I wish I had Jedi powers so I could make one float over here from the fridge.

Ok, now that that's out of the way...

2) I was wondering at the professional quality of the OpAphid vids, but it was so different, so much slicker than the creators' vids that I doubted. THEN I read the WIRED magazine article, which said that they couldn't possibly film all the new characters' storylines themselves and churn out the scripts because they have their hands full with the ones they have, so they pair a new writer-director with the actor. That makes sense, then. It's different because it's not made by the same people. Hmm. Now I have to watch the things...

2) I think Daniel's getting tired of her reluctance to talk about the "community." I mean, he had to leave his life behind to go on the run and protect Bree and they're not getting anywhere because she's not giving him anything to go on. That's the sense I get, although we don't know what they say off camera. It just seemed to me that she got frustrated when he asked her about it, like maybe they'd been through this before. Old habits die hard, maybe?

3) Yes, indeed, P-monkey's looking suspicious these days. He's been called names by Gemma for seemingly no reason, he's been very uncooperative (I Spy and swimming), and now he may have rabies. (Although, he is purple, and that's the anti-orange... I guess purple doesn't always help you.)

4) I think there's no reaction to them running off because Bree started to doubt there was ever any reason. I guess you might think maybe it was paranoia if you ran and no one followed. Maybe in retrospect, it seemed like maybe it really was just some guy talking on his cell and then going to his room. 

5) I need to see something between Bree and Daniel. This snapping and sulking stuff is getting old. If they can't start being cute again together, then I'd at least like to see a real exchange so I can figure out what's eating Daniel for certain. (A rabid P-monkey, maybe? :o Puns are fun...)

6) That is all. And yes, that warranted it's own number. I don't think that Bree's comment means that OpAphid is necessarily canon, but rather that the name of it comes from an actual term used within her community.  Which would make sense.  A Star Trek rpg, for example, might call its message board "the holodeck."  

Maybe it's just a ploy to get us all to go watch the OpAphid stuff. There would only a reason for disappointment with the fact that OpAphid is canon if we were required to participate to enjoy the LG15 series.  I don't think that this is the case.

I think that the creators realize that there is a strong, minority demand for an ARG and are accomodating that demand through OpAphid's videos.  But there is a larger group of people who don't want to expend the time and effort entailed in video editing to play backwards feeds forward, etc.  

My expectation is that we don't have to watch the OpAphid videos to keep up (although it might be interesting to check what investigators turn up from time to time).  I would, however, join you in being very disappointed if watching the OpAphid videos became an essential part of "keeping up." If Bree was preparing daily for a ceremony and there was not time to prepare someone else, after all this time one of two things must have happened.

1)  The appointed time for the ceremony is passed or
2)   Bree is no longer "prepared" and would not make a good participant.

  I understand that Daniel has graduated, but did he have no life besides Bree?  No job, no college?  Aren't his parents upset?  It is past time for something climactic to occur (and no, I am not talking about sex).  Bree's parents need to either return, or their bodies need to be discovered. If Opaphid is an alternate realtiy game, I do not think its cannonnization qualifies as plot development.  I have enjoyed this show, but do not have time to track an ARG as well.  I think the majority of viewers enjoy a bit of speculation, but not want to be required to do substantial research.  Come on, creators. More of my completely unsolicited and uncalled for advice to the creators...Is it so wrong to secretly dream of becoming a dramaturg?

First, I'm so glad that Daniel is getting fed up with Bree's secretiveness. He's put himself out on the line for her, so he has a right to know what is going on. 

Bree is finally free from her overbearing parents for the first time in her life. Aren't there some things she has been dying to do? It seems to me that she is ripe for a little rebellion and experimentation. Isn't it high time that Bree got drunk for the first time or :gasp: seriously kissed a boy? She's getting a little old for the stuffed animals. If being on the run from a cult after your parents are kidnapped doesn't make you grow up a little; nothing will. 

It's time for Bree to fess up. I mean really spill the beans. She needs to tell us what she knows about her "community". I saw Daniel hinting about it in this episode which makes me hopeful, but I am concerned that she will continue to be coy and vague. Telling us about her upbringing will give Bree depth. That goes for Gemma, too.

Tell us something about Daniel. Anything. The guy wasn't raised in a test tube. 

The watcher is lame. I'm sorry, but he is. Make his character interesting or dump him. Maybe he has some dark and sick secret Bree can uncover? Or maybe he has some intriguing information for Bree? Anonymous watcher isn't doing it for me, though.

Basically, what I am getting at here is that we need a little juiciness...a little spice. You have something really good here...so don't be afraid of doing something a little extreme. These episodes should be provocative enough that they elicit a strong reaction. Love it or hate it, people will still watch.

I have to say that if Bree tried to use the scout sign (three fingers) to get attention she wouldn't get it...The "attention" is not used for danger. It is used to keep the younger 10-11 year old scouts with ADHD quiet.  When I was a scout, and we were screwin around while the Senior Patrol Leader was talking, he would put that sign up, and then everyone else in the group would have to put that sign up and shut the hell up.

And I have that 90s version of the BSA handbook somewhere in storage, but I was never taught in all 7 years of scouting that an animal with rabies would not fear a porcupine.or to "Observe an animal near a porcupine... I do not know WHERE she got that. Or, where the creators got that for that matter.
To the best of my knowledge the handbook actually says is first aid for someone who is bitten by a rabid creature. And says that "call animal control to have it captured"

I think that Daniel getting stressed out with Bree is foreshadowing him making them take action against the 'order'. He is getting fed up of her inane stories and games with her toys, ok she may be distracting herself, but we all know Daniel is a man of action and obviously wants to revolve this situation. I think the time may be drawing closer when he tells Bree that they have to go and do something practical, like go back to her house or follow one of the watchers.

The only small children I've kicked are Girl Scout, because they're evil.  And the puppies had rabbies, they needed to be disposed of.  It was a matter of public health. Obviously, this is nothing but lies. I can cite to several instances in which the defendant confessed to slurpee and GS cookie consumption.

This video is a bit unsatisfying--too many questions raised that don't open any valuable lines of investigation/speculation.
