Incidentally, that noise sounded to me like loud footsteps coming up the stairs, but I couldn't tell. It seemed very Jurassic Park. Overall comment--Exciting movement. Definite "Jurassic Park-like" excitement. Beautiful music really contributed to a great effect.

Maybe/Likely the symbol Gemma showed Bree DID remind her of the ceremony. But, that still makes the smudge on the man's hand very implausible to me.

Yeah, GraceLady, I think they were triggering that sense of a search because the visual was pretty strong. Tall grass, middle of nowhere, helicopter buzzing overhead... It makes me think of every news story where a little kid has wandered off into the woods or disappeared from his yard, and they show scenes of search parties beating through the grasses and helicopters buzzing and dogs sniffing... It's not quite that elaborate, but I definitely think the helicopter was deliberate. And once they've been spotted, who is to say the people beating through the grass and the barking dogs and whatnot won't follow?

LOL, I know what you mean. I keep picturing myself as the anti-corporate lawyer, beating the crap out of corporations on behalf of the little guys. It sounds pretty peachy, because wealthy corporations will sometimes find it cheaper just to hand over some money instead of paying for a lawsuit and dealing with the bad publicity. But in all likelihood, I'm going to end up getting sucked into something where I make just enough to pay back my student loans and afford the candles to light my hut. Her parents should be at home safe and worried sick about her. But I'm not entirely sure of that, it's just a theory. :)

Sydney, do what I did! I had "A Tale of Two Cities" the comic book! :P It was the best thing I've ever seen in my life, because Charles Dickens and I are NOT friends. I had to write a paper on the book, read the comic instead of the real thing, and I got an A. What my teacher doesn't know won't hurt me. ;) 

Legal stuff is kinda sucky, but sometimes it's funny. I read one case where a guy was suing this other guy for slamming a door in his face, and he began his affadavit, "I am a born again Christian who is extremely sensitive to evil spirits and in particular, demons." I was like, congratulations, wacko, you lose. You start writing about demons and/or implying that someone slammed a door in your face because the devil told him to, well, stick a fork in you, you're done.

Yeah, I only get candles and a hut because I won't have to pay for the candles. Every year, one of my aunts gives me a giant bag of tealights. It's freaking huge. If I wanted to make a tealight candle ring around Doak Campbell stadium, I could, and then sing "Heal the World" while expanding it ever outward. Is she referring to what Daniel is looking at?  And what exactly caused him to freak out like that?  Or is the cigarette-smoking man just outside the window, having spotted Bree watching him, looking in?

Immediately afterwards it cuts to Daniel and Bree frantically turning the room upside down.  Daniel says, "Hurry--check the drawers!  Check under the bed!"  What were they looking for?  There have been a lot of references to bugs in the videos and the comments recently.  This looked a bit like they might be "sweeping for bugs."  This does sound a bit far-fetched to me, but this segment is not explained by anything in the video.

I don't believe that Daniel was filmed when Bree was by the window.  The only time that both of them are filmed at once is where Bree is holding the camera in front of her and alternatingly pointing it at herself and then at Daniel.

I think that Cyberpilot (#91) is right in saying that the helicopter shot conveys their mood.  I think it is pretty far-fetched that the Order would send out a helicopter after them--more likely that their car has been followed.   That being said, I also think that TheGreenLaceBeauty (#60) is right that it symbolizes the search that Bree and Daniel fear is going on.  These videos have been getting more and more literary, what with orange wedge foreshadowing and helicopter symbolism and all.

I agree- Also keep in mind, if Daniel leaves her she has nobody and no way to get anywhere- she is completely dependant on him and he is giving up his life to help her- he's protecting her so I can understand her wanting to appease him.  I don't think Daniel will leave her though- he sincerely loves her. The one camp we used to go to had nice cabins, a miniature golf course, a waterpark, go-carts, and a ZOO. And then there was the cruise to the Caribbean and the ski trip. No lie. Ok, as far as the helicopter, I think it is just symbolism.  I don't think they really have helicopters looking for them, that would be a bit over the top.

I think we need more explanation about this supposedly 'rival cult' that is also following Bree if indeed it exists. Until there is verification, I think it makes more sense that the 'man in black' is from the Order--the Deacons are the only ones who would have had the opportunity to plant a bug as far as we know, so how would this other cult know where to find them? Hmm, so there's no mark on his hand?  That certainly makes for an interesting twist.  I commented earlier that I couldn't believe she managed to see that since the shot of the man was so short.  However, I don't have any video programs that are capable of slowing down and enlarging so I just took her word for it.

Seems like there's more to Gemma than meets the eye...no pun intended :P.

Daniel seems to have some pretty sophisticated editing programs on his laptop; I'm surprised he didn't check this and figure out Gemma was lying.

Do you realize this entire concept is original?  The creators are using what the viewers say as input to the videos.  Not only creating a series that can take on any direction at any minute they are creating a bond with the audience.  I think that is pretty friggin innovative. Katelyn, it's a comments page in-joke between a couple of regular posters. It came about because of a conspiracy theory involving why the orange nozzle on the slurpee machines in the 7-11s never seem to work, and it was decided the cult had something to do with it and were putting drugs in the slurpees or something. And then it grew into orange slurpees are evil, and Hooray expanded it into orange juice being evil by making her vid where she's being chased by orange juice. The color orange eventually was declared evil by joint committee of Joe, Hooray, Sydney, myself, and possibly some others (well, maybe not quite that officially, but you know...) It eventually turned into a running joke and now a lot of people on the forum joke about the evil of orange. I think the Creators gave us a nod to the orange conspiracy with the last blog because it seemed the oranges got an unprecedented amount of screentime in a vid where suddenly, there's the presence of evil again and foreshadowing of bad things to come. Some people think it's crap, but I didn't see Daniel zooming in on a cart of bananas at length or focusing his camera on the yogurt aisle. ;)

Who says there's just one? ;) Baldy McCreepy, as he was dubbed, looks heavier set than this guy. Baldy was spotted hanging by the cars at the faux ceremony right before Daniel was chased away by the noise of what seemed like his discovery. He looks like the same guy present when Bree's parents were taken. And the guy by the pool looks tall and slim and has hair, so maybe there are two of them working this.

It might be, but it would be unrealistic. If this is portrayed in real time, we need to see it in close to real time. I dunno if I explained that well, but it just seems like certain events logically follow one another in time and if they were posted several days apart, that would seem to calculated to draw things out to be two kids on the run posting a vblog to their friends. It would definitely show the hand of the creators. Plus, it's pretty typical to pick up the pacing in a storyline once things hit critical mass, or near it. It's good for plot development... and the soul. :P

I guess I was lucky(?!) in that the parade went right past my doorstep. Literally. I walked downstairs and there it was. The noise was enough to make me give up on being productive until it was over, what with the sirens and the booming music and the frat boys hooting at anything with boobs. And the blocked streets drove me CRAZY. I went to Publix, and then it seemed like I could never go home again because I lived on the parade route and ALL the roads seemed to be off limits around my building. By taking the most tortuous route known to mankind, though, I made it home. And grad students are not SUPPOSED to have fun, but I know some who do. Some of the law students in my class are partying on the weekends and just studying commercial outlines. I don't mind. I need people like that to provide cushioning between me and the bottom of the curve. :P The more people depend on commercial outlines, the higher my rank! But you're right, if you're doing this grad school thing right, you don't see the outside world that often.

See I knew there was something to these deacon posts (the legitimate ones) because their stories were not disputed and further and further as we go here they are being incorporated into the story.  so here is my thing Lucy was injured.  how badly it doesnt seem too badly.  what was she trying to communicate to Bree?  Who is Bree is she something supernatural?

To give a goofy example, people complained that JK Rowling was being unoriginal and ripping of Lord of the Rings by having a Gandalf-like wizardly father figure. Others pointed out that Gandalf, and probably Dumbledore, too, were inspired by MERLIN of the Arthurian legends, so if anything, most fantasy writers, including Rowling and Tolkien, are ripping off the legends. Or are inspired by them, if you want to put it less, er, controversially. 

With the "watchers," I'll bet if you look up various religious and government organizations, you'll find that term used, and long before Buffy. It's too simple of a term to be original. And if you do a search of Amazon or something similar, you'd probably come up with a lot of pre-Buffy books that used the same concept. After all, copyright law covers specifics. If it's a general idea or theme or concept in common use, there's no protection against someone else using it.

I was interested in what you wrote.  I had been one of the Non-Believers in "The Deacons" posts.  However they did use that term Girgori BEFORE the Watchers post by Gemma and Before Bree's fleeing the watchers post.   Before ANYONE used the term "The Watchers" the deacons post used the term grigori.  THAT is soooo scary I mean demons thats too much for me to take I cant help myself now I am trying to get the deacons posts all together (the real ones) and figure it out. seems like a huge puzzle which makes it fun. seriously are you not paying attention they were talking about the "grigori" before the term WATCHERS came into play. 

episode 74 gemma's someone's following you the deacons said the term Grigori.

Then episode 77 (mind you 3 episodes later) gemma calls them Watchers.  Seriously dont do a wikipedia do a google on Grigori EVERY website calls the "Watchers" this term for the Grigori has been in place for thousands of years.  It wasnt just made up to legitimize on this site.

That in my opinion makes it AT LEAST probable that the posts are someone legit you cant dispute it.

SuzieQ, well, it's just my theory, but I think when B&amp;D were staying put, there was no reason to throw too much expense into finding them. Now they're on the run, driving for hours out into the middle of nowhere. The order isn't going to want to lose track of them, not when there's no time to get someone else to take Bree's spot. If they have judges and police officers on their side, they might be able to use a police helicopter by reporting Bree as a missing person. OR, dispensing with said red tape and the unnecessary scrunity that might follow, maybe their people are bankrolling it. Judges used to be lawyers, who usually make good money (woohoo!). Bree's parents were highly paid professionals, as well. I don't think these people have a whole lot of broke slobs in their ranks, if that's any indication. But you're right that it might not be sent after them. It just seems like when the Creators make a point of something, it's not usually a subtle or atmospheric point, it's a very concrete hint of something in the plot. For instance, the men in the black suits, fleetingly glimpsed, could've had nothing to do with anything. But since you never see people in the background, then you know they were put there on purpose... and they turned out to be "watchers," other characters directly involved in the storyline. I had another example, but it slid out of my head from my ear and trickled all over my carpet. Sorry! I didn't mean to ignore you, I miss comments sometimes. You're right that we're kept guessing, and anything you see or think that is relevant is worth discussing! I know there are a couple of people who are as avid fans of the deacon posts as you are. They give you more to work with and research than the info we're given in the vids. And who knows, I may yet eat my words and be utterly and completely wrong. I am NEVER so convinced of my opinion that I refuse to admit that possibility! 

My thoughts are just based on my personal perception, not even necessarily a factual analysis. I just have a sense that the Order should be so hidden and mysterious that any information divulged would be against their will for them to keep that threatening, unknown factor. To keep that up, that would mean only people who have turned against them or an error on their part would give us any of their secrets. Buuut, it would be nice to somehow make their role relevant to the fan-interaction aspect somehow. Just not so obviously. Again, that's just my opinion and I don't think anyone should consider it of any more importance than their own. So if the deacon posts sound like a good idea to you, don't let me talk you out of it. I just wanted to voice my thoughts.

Loved the drama and the music of this vid, but I have a big problem with the fact that Bree and Daniel are still skeptical about the danger they are in.  I mean I get the whole making silly posts from the motel, Bree was bored and stir crazy, so she did it to take her mind off everything that was going on, makes perfect sense.  

However, the exchange where Bree says "he's been out there all night" and Daniel replies "well maybe he's a chain smoker".  Or when Bree says she "over reacted" when they hauled ass out of the motel.  Well it's just bad writing, which is something I have never before had to say about this series. 

If we are to believe that Bree and Daniel are in Danger they should act like it.  I mean at this point skepticism from Bree would be out of place, but coming from Daniel (Second Story Super Sleuth) Beast it is just plain ridiculous and totally unbelievable.

It's an old-boy's club, like everything else.

What LG-15 did is fabulously creative. She deserves her success. They deserve their success. Anyone who finds celebrity via the internet deserves it.

Could this just be a U.K. perspective? Royalty are automatically royalty. Celebrities are the "American" royalty. Is it just British snobbery that propelled the cruelty of placing Jessica on that list?

Another thought--Was Gemma trying to say that guy had the symbol on the back of his hand or just that a man in the dark suit was a watcher? She's already used that one on Bree and it didn't scare her, so she had to escalate, I guess.

I'm sure the double pronouns (Us-we at the beginning) are due to the way verbs are conjugated in Portuguese -- like Spanish.  Since Babelfish translates word-for-word, it sounds odd in English.

The end is the most confusing, but obviously it's a reference to Bree's stuffed friends -- monkey, bear, turtle.

I'm guessing this was written in English and then translated (using Babelfish or something like it) because "Beware", "Woe", and "Pray" are in English, and Babelfish doesn't translate them.  I tried another online dictionary and there doesn't seem to be an exact word for them in Portuguese (which is surprising, especially "pray").  It doesn't explain the "E" by itself, though...  

The poem is another example of why I don't think it's the creators.  I'm all for cryptic decoding fun, but the poem is just awkward, and I have a feeling it's more than just the translating.  It needs to be quality writing *and* cryptic to work well.

If the Deacons were to post a video, it would mean that they know about all the videos Bree and Gemma and Daniel have posted, meaning they know exactly where Bree and Daniel are and all the information Gemma had passed.  In that case, do they really need to post videos?  Cause, I'm pretty sure they could just snag the whole LG15 crew without much of a hitch.

This is all very well, except for one thing... What would be the Order's, and in turn the Deacon's, assuming they run the whole shabooz, reason to want Daniel so badly? Are his parents secret members of the FBI? Do the work for a competing cult? Are they other video-bloggers who are getting in the way of the secret occult message Bree is trying to send out to would be recruits? whatever this reason may be, if this is the direction the Creators take the series in, their going to have to think of a reason better than the one's that i have come up with... But they tend to suprise me, sometimes in good ways, with videos like these, and sometimes in bad ways, like the "Man In The Suit" episode... So I was watching a story in the news about how the price of Oranges went up because of the shortage in Florida (Hurricanes seem to be the main cause).    This means that Orange Slurpees will be more expensive to make (assuming 7-11 actually uses real oranges in the ingredients, canâ€™t be too sure on that).  This will ruin 7-11â€™s profit margin.

Each of the Watchers taught humankind something like astronomy, herbalism, agriculture, mathematics, etc. which is not what God wanted. So Watchers are considered to be evil, unless you are Luciferian, and then they are good because they teach instead of leaving humans in ignorance. 

The Watchers actually have connections to the Fixed Stars found in the Four Fixed Signs of the Zodiac, and whose symbols of each are found in books of prophecy in the Bible like Ezekiel and Revelations. They also represent the Four Archangels.

The tatoo's location on the hand is used in Voodoo and some Hispanic gangs, and I am not sure, but they may have a "watcher" type position.

Seems like the creators are mixing all kinds of cult type information together.

Oh, and Amon Ra is an aspect of the Egyptian god of the sun, Ra. Amon Ra is represented by wearing a ram's head. Ra has an aspect for each position of the sun in the sky throughout the day.

I guess the "deacons" think it's more amusing to make one jump through hoops. I don't really believe in the validity of the deacon posts, myself, so I don't concern myself with them. 

Lemon, that probably was meant to be "Crowley." The Arabic alphabet and the English alphabet don't have the same number of vowels and certain consonants don't translate into our alphabet directly. When it's a recognizable English term, like the Arabic word for "butter" translated into the English term for "butter," there's not much of a problem with translation programs. But when you have a name in English that doesn't have an Arabic translation, the programs balk. 

That was either helpful (I hope) or just boring (probably). I tried, though! :) My ex-boyfriend (who I'm still friends with, amazingly) spoke Arabic and liked to teach me ALL about it. Our first three dates were like an intensive language program. In the end, all I can actually SAY in Arabic is the word for bread. Firstly, we're able to create member profiles now, in addition to logging in to our own accounts.  Its a great idea for security and for added channels of interaction.   Secondly, I'm glad a good video was finally posted.  However, its been almost a week... if the next video starts with them in a motel I'm going to be disappointed.  I think we're ready for the plot to start moving.  

Why hasn't Gemma posted anything? You'd think she'd be terribly frightened if she watched the same thing we watched.  I'm one of the few that adores the character of Gemma, and so I'll say that I wouldn't mind having another new character added to the plot.  It might make it just that much better!

Another random note- I really would love to see some on-screen endearing and affectionate moments between Bree and Daniel.  Now, this doesn't mean that I want them smooching.  However, some verbalization of their feelings towards each other would be nice.  Lately they've been snapping at each other and are acting more like brother and sister... show the love!  It might be nice of Bree to recognize everything Daniel is doing for her... including hiding out in motel rooms and spending all sorts of money. So I made them fight each other.  Big Gulp Orange Slurpee vs. 5 Boxes of Girl Scout cookies.  The Slurpee was holding his own until one of the boxes pulled out a knife.  It got reall messy after that.  Girl Scout cookie boxes do not play by the rules.

And now the site is back up, but no new video.

Since Destroy TV came on the scene (sheâ€™s now streaming video after the big move to Chris and Beckyâ€™s place) Iâ€™ve thought about ARGs and involving people in co-creating massive stories quite a lot (how can something like DTV take on a life of its own?), and the recent Wired cover article on lonelygirl15 and how it came about completely pushed me over the edge. Iâ€™m completely hooked on ideas for stories that are platforms for peopleâ€™s creativity and involvement.
